Amazon music, Kindle unlimited, obviously Amazon prime… It used to come with an excellent Washington Post app and six free months but Kindle stopped having a new stand altogether. They’re willing to basically not profit off the hardware but they get their money back by having ads on the lock screen, and trying to get you into buying Amazon services. They might even be loss leaders when they’re on sale. I don’t know if any of them are quite as cost-effective just because Amazon basically sells these things for cost. oNN, the Walmart brand, has some serviceable tablets that compete with the fire tablets and run full versions of Android Galaxy s6 lite is sometimes really cheap. If you want something with a little more power You could try to find the Lenovo Chromebook duet which I’ve seen on sale for less than. Definitely capable of that on pretty much any fire OS tablet. This one is from 2019 so it still has micro USB but you could still absolutely watch YouTube videos with it. But you also have to pay for the wireless charger separately. ![]() I think it’s like a 30 or $50 premium to get the one with wireless charging. ![]() There is also a model from there that you can get with wireless charging for an extra price. It’s 150 MSRP and can go on sale for 75 or 80. Then there’s a 10 inch one from 2021 which is very similar to the one listed here but it has USB-C and a slight spec bump. I think it’s 225 MSRP and 150 when it’s on sale. Ive now used the Kindles 'ask for help' feature, which is what I used the first time, to try again to get this progressed. ![]() Technically the best one would be the 11-in one they just released but that’s at least $150.
